I’m James.
I’m a former primary school headteacher with 22 years’ experience in education. I have always enjoyed maths and it was my favourite subject to teach.
As a teacher in Year Six, maths results were regularly in the top 25% of the country. I taught maths throughout Key Stage Two and have tutored high school children and adults.
As headteacher, the school achieved results in the top 5% of the country and our maths progress score was exceptional.
I have a DBS check and I have up-to-date safeguarding training.

Testimonials
“James has been the Headteacher at WCLA for the whole of my son’s time at primary school up until this year (total 6 years). As a parent, I found him to be professional, approachable, friendly and kind. Any issues that I had were dealt with swiftly and any concerns listened to and acted upon.
He is a fabulous Leader and was an extremely nurturing and fun Headteacher. He really cared about the staff, the parents and most importantly the children and created an environment where the children felt safe and happy.
He took the time to learn all of the children’s names, very quickly got to know them well and treated them as individuals. My son absolutely loved him. We are very sorry that he has left but wish him well for his future career.”
